About Cristina
I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience in the field of children and youth as a teacher and counsellor with a specialization in working with diverse student populations. I'm also a mom of two amazing neurodivergent young adults.
I am skilled at working through a lens of intersectionality that may include cultural diversity, neurodivergence, gender or sexual orientation and with a variety of presenting issues such as anxiety, ADHD, substance use and trauma. I work with a diverse range of clients including individuals, couples, and families.
I am passionate about helping you overcome your struggles and achieve your goals. I believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, and I am committed to helping my clients realize that potential. I use a variety of evidence-based therapies to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and preferences.

Born and raised primarily in Vancouver, I also come from South American roots. I love being outdoors hiking, walking or paddling; find great pleasure in cooking, especially Ecuadorian food; reading for relaxation; pretending I can garden or craft; and spending time with my kids, partner and our dogs. When I can, I love to travel.
In my sessions, you will experience my open and inquisitive nature where you can share your story freely in a space that allows you to laugh, cry, vent, ponder, etc. Whatever your need is in that moment, you can be sure I will be right there alongside the journey with you.
